Angel Puzzle Pieces
How do you think the artist created these angels?
Bible:
What does the Bible say about angels?
- Angels praise God (Psalm 148:1-2; Isaiah 6:3).
- They worship God (Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:8-13).
- They rejoice in what God does (Job 38:6-7).
- They serve God (Psalm 103:20; Revelation 22:9).
- They appear before God (Job 1:6; 2:1).
- They bring answers to prayer (Acts 12:5-10).
- They aid in winning people to Christ (Acts 8:26; 10:3).
- They encourage in times of danger (Acts 27:23-24).
- They care for the righteous at the time of death (Luke 16:22).
Objectives:
In this lesson you will create an artwork out of recycled materials.
Materials:
large old puzzle pieces, fine-grit sandpaper (220 grit), pencils, paint, paint brushes, sharpies, yarn, cereal boxes, glitter, glue
Process:
- Lightly sand the front of the puzzle pieces with fine-grit sandpaper to remove only the ink and not the layer of paper underneath
- Practice drawing the angel details on a scrap piece of paper. Draw hair, eyes, a dress with collar, wings, skinny arms, and a halo.
- Once you are happy with your design, very lightly draw the angel details on the puzzle piece with a pencil. Re-traced the pencil lines with a fine tip Sharpie.
- Paint the hair, dresses and collars.
- Make a little star out of cereal box cardboard, and paint with gold paint. Add glitter while the paint is wet.
- After the star is dry, glue it to the “hands” and let it dry.
- Glue a piece of yarn on the back to hang the angel up.
- Upload your Angel Puzzle Piece to Artsonia.
