There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Objectives:
Students will identify glue bottles; develop skills gluing and following simple directions.
Materials:
- Too Much Glue by: Jason Lefebvre & Zac Retz
- handout sheets (below)
- small glue bottles
Process:
- Read Bible verse Ecclesiastes 3:1. Discuss how there is a time for math, a time for reading, a time for play, and a time for art.
- Give each artist a small bottle of closed glue.
- Ask them to squeeze the bottle to show how to use it (the bottle is still closed at this point).
- Tell the artists that we are going to do a little experiment. Call a couple of students to the front and give them a bottle of opened glue and a paper plate and let them go. Tell them to squeeze as hard as they can.
- Say, "Let's find out what happens when you use to much glue." Read Too Much Glue. Discuss the appropriate way to use glue bottles.
