Students will identify and describe Marcus Pfister’s Rainbow Fish; develop skills gluing and following simple directions; explore using oil pastels to produce artwork

Rainbow Fish by: Marcus Pfizer; black construction paper with fish outline printed on it, small glue bottles, oil pastels

- Review Ecclesiastes 3:1, There is an appointed time for everything--a time for reading, a time for math, a time for art.
- Discuss career as Illustrator and then read Rainbow Fish.
- After reading, talk about Hebrews 13:16, "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
- Review use of glue bottles
- Students will trace over fish outline on black construction paper with glue. After drying, students will color in areas within fish body with oil pastels.
